I've been reading some of the info on the Scion iM and also reviews of the Toyota Auris. It seems that the Toyota Auris isn't a perfect vehicle by any means. Road & Track says that the main issue with the Auris Touring Sports is that it has "a distinct lack of driving involvement."

Upon doing some more searching around I have found that the Auris Hybrid is not seen very favorably. Top Gear says,

"The best advice we can give is not to buy the hybrid model... It's a shame that Toyota, which has done more to promote hybrid than anyone, isn't doing more to advance the technology. The 1.4 diesel is a preferable all round car.

All models do driver with a bit more precision and control, though. The ride is composed and although there's more road noise than is ideal, on the whole it strikes a good, if dull, balance."
Below I've posted links to both articles I mentioned. Do you think the Scion iM will try to fix the problems with the Toyota Auris or will we get more of the same.

Ultimately they should and it's what I hope they do before it gets to us, but for all we know they might not be able to fix the issue in time turning it into something we inherit and have to do some back and forth to deal with.

I just question whether there will be that many changes to more performance related aspects of the car. Sure we could see more cosmetic changes and perhaps a few interior tweaks, but as far as things like drivetrain, suspension, etc... I'm not so sure.

For the 100th time its a Toyota Corolla underneath, when was the last time a Toyota Corolla got anyone hard?

AND you're using negative points about a Hybrid model that we won't be getting to infer what exactly?

And you must know by now that unless the car HOWLS and costs 100 grand top gear deems them dull... so yea....

I don't think anyone is expecting the iM to be a crazy driver's car, but it would still be nice if it wasn't completely boring to drive. I understand the hybrid critique because we probably won't be getting that, but I did mention a general lackluster driving experience as well.

I am guessing that you don't think that anything will be done to fix these problems then?
