What'd you drive before?

I've seen quite a few people that have gotten or are looking at the iM have had xB's prior. I was wondering what everyone was/is driving and why you made the switch?

Personally, I have a 2005 xB and I am looking because it has a couple problems, some maintenance due, just over 200k on the odometer and I am ready for a change.

I'm a bit of a gear head... before my XB I had a 99 Eclipse GS-T and before that was a 98 Neon R/T but here's pics of my previous vehicles... after the 2005 XB I owned 3 different Subaru WRX models:

The Alfa Romeo was a barn find I restored and sold to fund a motor build on Subaru number 2

love that subi sedan, still till this day I want one even if it's just the WRX and not an STi, but of course the STi is where it's at!

Did you end up doing any modifications to your WRX STi?

All of them were modified... the STi I had to 350whp before I sold it, and decided to go back to a WRX 2.0L for reliability reasons. The EJ257 is a **** motor... google "STi ringland"
Nothing as nice as everyone else's ride. Mine was a hand me down Toyota from my mom.
I love subies, especially the Impreza hatches.

Let's see some more of your previous/current vehicles.

Still better than nothing, some folks end up with just that... nothing.

But at times not having it can be good as cars can get costly.
My very first car was a '92 Mercury Grand Marquis. All red interior: seats, dash, carpets. Not easy on gas, but tons of fun to drive.

Those are awesome but that's because i'm a gear head and love RWD V8's, even more so when its a chassis like that which has a ton of cheap replacement parts used or new, especially the generation after.

:D
That's one of those boats of a car. You can feel the waves when you go over every speed bump.

Being the type of car it is that's ultimately what you'd want, I think its lincoln version, the town car had best ride quality. Every time im in one of those town car airport limo's its like riding on a cloud.

Nice ! .. what made you buy the IM ? .. i mean after driving a WRX STI and going to a 1.8 corolla engine, that must be painful ! .. the only thing i can think of is extreme reliability :p

You nailed it. The STi EJ257 is prone to ringland failure and I was getting about 22mpg on 93 octane on a good day.

This iM will be my daily for the next 5-6 years, but I may buy a project car down the road... it depends on what kind of aftermarket parts scene this car develops. I'd be very interested in sway bars and a supercharger pushing about 5-7 psi 180-200 whp in this car would be very fun on an autocross track. Just lowering this car on H&R springs and doing an intake and exhaust feels great, but this is how the car should have come from the factory in my opinion.

I miss this car, but not the maintenance and headaches:

This was my last Subaru before buying the iM (I had 3 over the last 6 years):

Good choice of Tundra's!

How do you like the new Tundra? And what are your thoughts about what Toyota should do in the future to keep it competitive?

That was what my wife had before she got a Rav4 last year. Complete with manual windows and locks.

Loved my Tundra's !! I like the Newer style but they need to change the engines up a bit to get better MPGS. The other makers are beating them at this and i think it hurts.
i've no pictures but in order of ownership:

white 00 Accord sedan ex-l v6
blue 05 acura rsx
pearl white 06 acura rsx
white 08 xb
black 10 civic sedan ex-l

still driving the civic until the new whip shows up.
