A coil over is a suspension shock/strut with a built in spring. Most times the coil overs are adjustable for different driving conditions. Several different brands out there to look at for ideas - Megan, Tein, D2, Raceland, etc.

Also to note, if your needs are minimal/entry-level... just getting aftermarket lowering springs that replace your stock springs is a good way out. But that's only if you want a 1-2 inch drop.

aftermarket coils will typically give you a stiffer ride as well.

Sounds like in stock form the iM is already plenty firm...

The iM’s suspension is firmer than I expected, and way more so than I’d ever expect from a Toyota. It’s not too firm for every day driving, but it is dangerously close.
