Hows this for desperation, in 2013 Toyota sold 114,328 Auris' (includes hatch, wagon and hybrid), in 2013 Scion sold 68,321 cars....

Maybe they think that giving Scion a popular model will reinvigorate the brand. Now I'm not sure if that will actually work, but it seems to be what they are going for. If they really want to establish Scion as its own brand they will have to give it a model that is all its own in my opinion.

Well thats essentially how it works now, there is no product overlap between Toyota NA and Scion...
