Times Colonist is calling the Scion iM the Matrix, reloaded. May or may not be a nod to the movie but they do note that it replaces the Toyota Matrix.
The iM is 35 millimeters shorter and 25 mm shorter than the discontinued Matrix but the width and wheelbase is still the same. What was replaced were the independent double-wishbone suspension which should improve handling, and the 225/45 R17 rubber on alloy wheels for better cornering.
Great standard features includes the alloy wheels mentioned above, climate control, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, back-up camera, integrated signals in the outside folding mirrors and other perks.
It's 1.8-litre four-cylinder may produce a bit less horsepower (137 hp) than other models in the same segment but the iM makes up for it in fuel economy.
Overall a "Efficient, practical, fuel-efficient and moderately priced" vehicle. Also looks great in green.
