If you are considering buying or have already bought a iM,what cars will you or did you test drive along with the iM? I want a small car that promises to be reliable,so I am going to test drive a Honda HRV and the iM.

I too wanted a small, reliable car. I test drove the Toyota Yaris & the Prius C, the Honda Fit & HRV and the Nissan Versa.

Coming from a Nissan Rogue, I definitely wanted a smaller, more fuel efficient car. The HRV is smaller than the Rogue, but felt just as big. It's got a lot of nice features but also a hefty price tag to match. The iM was the best. The Honda Fit was a close second, but the road noise was much louder on the Fit than it is on the iM.

I test drove the HRV - I personally found I will never own a vehicle with a CVT. The HRV was way too heavy for the drivetrain and I could not get comfortable with it. I also test drove the Fit and liked it, but also felt it was under powered. I then test drove a Civic LX with a manual and liked it, but knew that Honda was getting ready to change the car completely and didn't want to have an 'old" new car. I drove an Accord sport and loved it, but it was a little more than I wanted to spend the same with the Civic Si.

I did not test drive the iM before ordering it, but did test drive a Corolla with the same engine. With all the standard features the iM has I was sold. I like the car, but am also planning on squeezing every bit of power I can out of the 1.8L. I bought it as a fun, easy on the wallet, commuter, daily, that I can still enjoy when I want to.
