Hey everyone,

I know user's have experiences whistling noises coming from their driver window, windshield, and the pill vortex creators on the doors. Luckily I have not noticed these on mine. I do however notice a small whine/whistle whenever I decelerate or rev the engine down.

I do not have any sort of modified intake/exhaust/air filter and I do not drive the car hard at all (rarely in Sport).

I know some Corolla/tC users said it was their intake box/throttle bodies having air rush past them.

I do not think the noise is around 100% of the time and you have to keep an ear out for it with the radio off. Car is driving fine otherwise.

I must admit this is my first 4-cylinder / CVT car so it was a big change for me coming from a truck but I love it.

Anyone have any insight on this?

You can check all of the stock air box connections and ensure the air filter is seated correctly. Aside from that if you've done no modifications and it's 100% stock have a technician look everything over on your next service visit. Orrrrr like Davect01 mentioned you could just get an aftermarket intake and enjoy the noise. An intake will not void your warranty but it will make engine noise much more pronounced.
