Question on Hill Assist

I just bought Cecil, a Spring Green iM with a 6-speed manual. I was wondering if the Hill Assist is operating properly. The only other car I have driven with a similar system was a 1980's Subaru. It worked a little differently than the Scion. It allow you to apply the brakes with the clutch depressed, then keep the breaks applied as long as the clutch was depressed. Once you began to let the clutch out, the breaks would release. As far as I can tell, the Scion holds the breaks for 1 or 2 seconds after you release the break pedal, then releases them. Is this your experience with your iM?

Yep that's what it does. Holds for couple seconds. If you press the gas or release the clutch sooner then it will release sooner.
