Recently purchased a PT546-00160 HU on eBay from a 2016 iM as an upgrade for the PT546-00140 I currently have installed. The 140 uses a 16 pin connector for the four camera wires (V+, V-, C+, Cgnd), I am looking for info one where to the camera needs to be connected on the 160. The 160 doesn't have the 16 pin connector, from some internet searching I believe the camera should connect to the 24 pin connector. Looks like it should be a simple matter of pulling the pins out of the 16 pin connector and plugging them into the 24 pin connector, of course the hard part is knowing which pins on the 24 connector to use.

I asked this question on the hacking the headunit thread, apologies for the double post

I can confirm the Pac-Audio cable did the trick, the camera I bought for the pt546-00140 is now working with the PT546-00160 HU :) The cable has a ground wire for the 6v camera supply, I did not connect it so it must ground through the RCA connector as it works fine. Only connections I made were the splicing in the +6v and plugging in the RCA for the camera image. The picture is much better on the 160, the GUI seems better also. Other than the extra 24pin camera cable, everything else was plug and play from the 140, I don't have any of the extension modules so have a couple of empty plugs. Nice to see album art and more detail on the screen when listening to HD radio stations, sounds quality seems better but need more 'critical listening' time to make a judgment.

Now to see if my iTunes AAC mp4a files will play from the USB, which was my main reason for the upgrade, According to the manual they should work ok.

Bit of a confession here, I don't have a Scion but a 2006 4Runner SR5.

Rattso, just checked your link, I specifically bought a +6v camera as that is what the HU uses - the HU supplies the +6v. Make sure to get the cable for the +2016 year models with the 24 pin connector for the pt546-00160.

Pic attached of my setup.
