Not that I can see but my roads have not been salted yet. Is it a scratched or a chipped?
Have you had a chance to look at other iM's that have racked up miles on them?I have a white iM with 2400 miles and have three noticeable chips on the front bumper. I also feel the paint is thin. I had a 2004 white Scion Xa prior to purchasing the iM and had similar issues.
Knowing most cars have easily chipped paint these days and being on my fourth, I bought protection (clear wrap). No damage whatsoever after 2,200km.
It's both a positive and a negative, in my mind. Some current paints have also proven more durable than others. Some may chip on impact, while others while just flake off in the long run. Fun stuff.I read somewhere that it is the paint nowadays. It is all the result of environmental movement. They are going to less sturdy paint because of the fumes. This kind of explains why I have been noticing late model cars, regardless of make, are experiencing a lot of early oxidation.
Does that mean they won't do anything or are they saying it'll be fixed under warranty? Please be assured that we certainly do not like to see our customers experience the frustration and inconvenience that are associated with unexpected repairs. It is the desire of Scion Canada to provide sound, durable and reliable vehicles which will require a minimum of service and not only meet, but exceed our customers' expectations. However, there remain instances, such as you have encountered, where difficulties will arise.
