yea that involves a little more splicing wires. i was gonna do a suprastick on my SC400 to allow for manual shifting but it was 600 bucks just for the controller. i think the best way to do this will be to tap into the shifter wires and just simulate the same signal that the shifter uses to change gears. i'm pretty sure it wouldn't make a difference. gotta take it apart to see what we're dealing with, i really hope it's not mechanical.Definitely possible, there's a few systems out there that can even turn a regular mechanical automatic to electronic paddle shift !
The CVT shifts faster than the manual, it will be better unless you're just drag racing.I don't know man. Nothing beats a nice manual trans.

cool thanks, got any more dinosaur tranny input?Just buy a manual transmission. Putting paddle shifters on a CVT transmission is ridiculous. They're Continuously Variable... Paddle shifters are for things like EVOs, GTRs, or anything with a twin disc clutch and actual gears.
There is NOTHING better about the CVT in this car for a fun driving environment other than a MPG competition. Track, autocross, drag strip, or stop light to stop light the 6spd waxes the CVT with the right driver mod.

That's how I originally envisioned a CVT would work, a dial you turn to set what RPM you want to drive at. All it would take is a simple software update to do whatever you want as the CVT is infinitely flexible. If only there was an easy way to do that.... or at this point I'd take a not so easy way....If u want to increace your revs u need to tune trans controller / ecu
