Has anyone tried to take out the over head light console? I have a homelink auto dimming mirror and wanted to install it. I would like to tap into the wires that are available.

I just pops out. Can't remember is you pull from the front or rear though.

Like Lee said, it just pops out. It's attached to roof panel by 4 clips. I did mirror install and I wouldn't recommend tapping into that wire. There is no ignition power there, which means your mirror will be powered all the time draining your battery. I would recommend following the instructions and routing wire to your remote mirror switch and taking power from there.
