Just realized there is no CD player in the iM. Technically challenged here, what's the best way to play my old music?

Get the files to your phone any way you can -- I'd suggest putting the CDs in your computer at home and copying the files into a folder in your computer. Then, move the files to your phone. I'd suggest inserting an SD card into your phone, and then use a USB cable to transfer the music from your PC folder to the SD card on the phone.

Then, connect your phone to the Scion iM using Bluetooth. Once the phone is paired and connected, opening any music app on your phone and playing the music should result in the music coming out over the car speakers.

For getting Music on your phone, you could also try the MusicDrop app.

Wondering if we will get the 2016 Auris radio, which has a CD player.


Also both new and old Product Information sheet mentions an Auxiliary Audio Jack which should make it easier to connect music from my phone......or if I had an MP-3, right?

Why does it take so long for Music Drop to download to the phone?

It should be fast -- that is what my brother uses and it downloaded a song to his phone in less than a minute, I just had him show me.

I personally use iOS with Spotify Premium and a huge data plan (30GB per month), so I just stream music over LTE wherever I go.

I know....old school here and hoping we could still have that.

You can also just copy all of your music (in MP3 format) onto a flash drive and keep the flash drive plugged in. That way it's always available and you won't have to run down your phone's battery all the time.

you'll need to rip the MP3s from the CD's onto your PC and then transfer them to your phone. OR, you could likely use an AUX jack and just plug in an iPod or whatever...
