Whats up everyone!!

let me introduce myself a little! My names Johnson. before i bought my Scion iM i had plenty of cars from Civic EGs to E36 bmw and my favorite car and last car was a 1983 Mercedes Benz 300SD veggie oil powered slammed. I use to work at a pretty famous tire shop for lowered and modified cars 714 tires so i know a thing or two about cars. I bought the iM because i needed a new daily considering my jobs over 30 mins away i needed a reliable car! that in mind i dont really plan on modding the car but maybe looking at project on here will change my mind! I'm into hiking and camping so i thought this would be a prefect sized car to throw my dog and gear in and just drive.

First Couple things im going todo to my cars

-TINT
-HIDs ( i thought it was stupid how they have LED running lights but no HIDs)
-High to Low Converter with a Rockford Fosgate P300-12 (i think would be a good amp/sub because of my dog i would have to take in and out of trunk)
-roof rack with a cargo box for storage (when/if they come out with one for this car no universal sh*t)
-wheels! because i wont be lowering the car i want something close to OEM spec

Speaking of EG Civic's, just when I though the whole era of those being modded died, Rocket Bunny just ramped things up, your thoughts?

Im not really a fan of Rocket Bunny, they have a couple cool cars though. So yea considering that not to thrilled on it! My friend has a 240sx s13 with a Rocket Bunny kit (rep) on it looks pretty clean with the proper wheels and fitment.

I see what you mean, the only thing i'm not a fan of is the rivets and I think there has been two builds i've seen that had those rivet holes filled in. A lot of work to get that accomplished but extremely worth it for a show build.

Did you replace your LED DRL's with HID's? Looks like they are a purplish color..

Hey Johnson, could you share what HID set up you will go with, I want to do the same thing and I am new to this so any help will be appreciated. I do agree that LED DRL's and halogen low/high beams look stupid. A lot of myh driving is at night and there is no fog option for this car so I would really like to install HIDs. Thanks

Same here, even noting where you bought it from will help since not all of us may know about the same vendors.

I went to DDM Tuning, they are a 5 minute drive from my house and they have good pricing. I think i spent like 40 dollars. I will post the part number when i find the box but you guys should check out their website

Thanks for the info. I checked out their website and at the price range that you mentioned I didn't see HIR2 9012 bulb, so obviously they must have used some other bulb type. It would be great if you posted the part number. Thanks again.

Thought i would give a little update on the ride because i haven't been on the forum in a while!

-Installed JPLIGHING 9k headlights. Im not a big fan of them, they are in no way brighter then stock and i'm looking to replace them with HID still

-Installed Eibach Sportlines. Springs a decent have a nice ride only thing i would say is that I don't like now the front is uneven with the rear (almost every lowering spring)

-Got some wheels (stock evo 10 wheels) 18x8.5 +25 all the way with a 225/40 tire, i highly recommend that size and offset to anyone looking for wheels, fitment is near perfect!

-got some ebay window visors from a company called MIT in Taiwan, not to happy with fitment in the front but they still do there job.

-window tint. I dont remember the tint % but its medium in the front and dark in the rear.
