Just got my 17 pearl white Toyota iM last month and found your site. Wanted to do a proper intro and say hello. Great site so far and have already referenced your site for useful information concerning my new car.

just a FYI Im looking for a wire diagram on the back side of the head unit. Im doing a sub install and need to know which speakers to tap into when i put the line converter in. been looking for something like that for a few days now and been unsuccessful. If I cant find it Ill create a thread I guess asking if anyone knows being my dash is tore apart in my front passenger seat...lol.

Congrats on the purchase. If I decided to pick up an IM as my 2nd car (I really need an automatic 2nd vehicle), I will go with either the Pearl White or Barcelona/Burgundy Red. I really would like it in the Falcon Gray Metallic paint of the regular Corolla offering, but unfortunately the iM color choices are limited at best. Hopefully, Toyota will add some additional color choices on the 2019/2020 refresh/redesign.

Welcome. Although I don't get how you guys handle muddy stock H/U sound, I could not stand it.

Maybe yours had an issue, mine sounds just fine no matter what the source.

I agree, mine sounds just fine.
No issues. It just sounds muddy, as I already mentioned. I checked how it sounds in other iMs as well. I am not an audiophile, but 1st generation Scion tC had a wonderful Pioneer stereo system. 2nd generation tC was also decent, it had a 3-piece component speaker system up front. Toyota could've done a much better job with our iM. Sure, some people are enjoying AM radio and anything else is an overkill for them. But I am a bit more selective.
