They're not allowed to sell the car early, and Toyota won't ship the car to them until they are allowed to sell it. Toyota will hold all cars at the dock until September 1. All this talk of the cars reaching dealerships ahead of schedule is bunk.

Sounds right....but at least we can look at the early arrivals.I spoke directly with the manager and that's what they said. Although they could technically sell it early they can get in trouble same as selling at a different price.
Makes me sad too because this is a really nice car.Sad to hear that you may not be getting the iM. Keep us posted on the happenings!
Seems strange that you ordered the vehicle when you knew that you'd need a higher seat for your passengers. Anyway, hopefully you'll be able to find a buyer, but its sad because you will end up losing money in the end.
yeaa the CHR concept supposedly! the higher ride height will be better suited to ingress and egress as well...Makes me sad too because this is a really nice car.
I am not going away and will pass on any news I find.
Todd has given me hope on a future Scion. Maybe that will work.
Toyota preparing Scion-badged Nissan Juke fighter
I just hope it doesn't have the squished cargo area like the Juke. That is another of my criteria along with seat height.yeaa the CHR concept supposedly! the higher ride height will be better suited to ingress and egress as well...
I would probably go with the RAV4. That is my dilemma right now. I am hoping for clearer representations of what this new crossover will be like before it is too late to get a year end 2015 RAV-4. Hoping for the better spy shots at least. I don't care too much what the rest of the car looks like, but the cargo area is important to me.that seemed to be a compromise with the Juke's design but if worse comes to worse you can always get a vehicle slightly bigger/more capable or even get a roof top carrier, but I rather go the bigger vehicle route.
That would be really cool, but this article doesn't show it being there , despite other proto types like Tiguan and Sportage.I think something will most likely come up in the Frankfurt auto show since most of the new models' press releases will be there.
I dont think its related to the iM though... Probaably a good sign though that its wearing Scion wheels. the devil is in the details ahahaHey.....just realized those are blacked out iM wheels on the prototype.
To me this is very good news because some have suggested the CX-3 would be used. The iM is much roomier than the CX-3.
Also suggestions that it will be built on a new platform that will be shared with other models. So a brand new car, not an adaption of something else.
Also may be shown at the LA show in November. I hope so!

True....I am just not wanting a CX3 cloneI dont think its related to the iM though... Probaably a good sign though that its wearing Scion wheels. the devil is in the details ahaha
Plus I bet that's something Toyota doesn't want either, there has to be some way they'll make their vehicle different, just can't pin point how that will happen, too early to tell.True....I am just not wanting a CX3 clone
