Starting to get really stoked... I will know the car's ETA tomorrow. The port will not give the dealership any details until tomorrow (release date).

I've heard everything from 2 weeks early, like on the Scion iM Forum homepage , to mid October. Dealers have no idea when they're getting the car. Called Scion and they don't even know when the release date is. Toyota Logistics Services is holding the cars hostage at the ports. Maybe there's some kind of labor union dispute.

One of my best friends is a salesman at a local Toyota dealer. I did not have to put down a deposit being that my friend is their Internet Sales Manager. I actually just spoke with him. Their white and black iM's "flipped" this morning and are slated to be here in Virginia Beach either Saturday or Tuesday... Apparently no new cars will deliver on Sunday or the holiday, Monday here. For whatever reason the car I ordered will not be on the first truck they get. I'm assuming because they pulled it from another dealer's inventory. Looks like the wife and I will be sharing her car a little longer than expected. I sold my Subaru WRX this past Friday.

I have not test driven the iM, but I have driven the 6speed Corollas, and am very familiar with hatchbacks and double wishbone rear suspensions.

I think it's pretty silly that the ports held on to these as long as they did there is not one local dealer in Virginia Beach that has one on their lot on launch day nor will any of them until Saturday or Tuesday.

I'll have my HPS intake, H&R lowering springs, and stereo install stuff before I even have the car in my driveway.

I live on the east coast in Virginia Beach VA... I was only talking about Hampton Roads area. We have 3 LOCAL Scion dealerships and none of them have any on their lot. You can search local inventory for your area on the Scion website, OR call them to find out an exact date when they'll be on the lot. That information came out today to all dealers.
