Hey all. I own a 2017 Corolla iM, but since there's no real forum for it, I have been getting my ideas here. I want to upgrade my headlights to LED, and I hear you want the fanless bulbs. These bulbs seem to be liked on Amazon, so would they work for my application? Also, should I go ahead and get some ferrite cores as well to guard against interference? Thanks!

FYI, Some reading material for ya: Are HID Kits Legal or Safe? | XTREMEREVOLUTION.NET

I myself went with these 9012 Bulbs. Plenty bright enough for the 20-minute of unlit freeway I drive home on every night. No messing with ballasts, fans, overheating etc.

These are LED lights, not HID.

I did buy those Crystal Vision bulbs and they don't seem very bright at all. I was thankful for the brights when they would come on. Not much forward projection at all.

What this is saying is that any modification that changes the headlight type is technically an illegal modification and can get you a ticket. Now some States don't care at all while others get really ticket crazy for this.

Not sure why you had issues with the Philips, I occasionally get flashes from oncoming cars who think my headlights are on Bright. Most of my drive home I don't even bother using the Brights.

You do have to adjust them up a bit as the bulbs on all Toyotas are aimed low.

I will join Dave on this one. DON'T DO IT. Unless you go full retrofit with OEM projectors and bulbs, but even then it is not worth it. Our cars have decent halogen projectors, they are good enough to see the road. I make sure I flash at everyone doing an aftermarket Chinese crap headlights without proper projectors and lens replacement.

Well, I went ahead and bought these bulbs and they work great! They are true plug and play and they really light up the road far better than the stock bulbs or even the Crystal Vision bulbs. I have never been flashed by oncoming traffic, either!

Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic.
