My attempt to do a fiberglass subwoofer box for my IM.
I wanted to try this to save most of the trunk space since is not much.
I built it for a 10" shallow subwoofer. It has only 4" of depths which is perfect. It took me a couple days to make it but it was my first time. It end it being perfect. Didn't have to put any foam or something to fill the interior for the sound. It shake the mirror a bit, but I'm super happy how it ended. I'll show some images of the process and how it look now.

I made the mold on the car itself, covering with 2 layers of tape, and doing the first layer of fiberglass and resin, it took 2 and a half hours to be dry enough to take out.

I place the ring where I wanted and started to covering using some fabric I had, I was unable to staple the fabric to the fiberglass, so I only did some only in the ring to hold the fabric together, and use some gorilla glue and contact cement to glue the fabric to the box. And put a layer of resin to the fabric

I cut the fabric close to the borders, also the ring space. I put some fiberglass on the fabric but from the inside, and tried to civer the whole fabric from the inside with some resin to reinforce the fabric with the box.

I tested the box on the trunk, and it sounded perfect, no echo, or hollow sound, no whistle either , only thing to do is to cover the box with carpet

Covering part. I used some contact cement to glue the fabric to the box, it wasn't perfect but you're unable to see those imperfect spots once is on the trunk

I'm able to take the box out or put it without needing to take the carpet or the spare tire plastic out. Pretty convenient 👍
