Just wondering if anyone knows when the Scion iM will be available in Canada? Pre-ordering is available now but I like to test out my cars before purchasing it.

Even before test drives we should at the very least get some reactions from seeing it in person at events, I know Scion USA is doing that, not sure about Scion Canada.nice..we got some Canada folks here. couple of the forum members had placed their pre-order already. hopefuly will be more personal experiences thoughts once test drive the car.
welcome !
That is correct. But I was promised by a dealer that I might get one of the early ones that arrive in AZ in another week or so. Now I have heard from another dealer and he thinks cars are being stockpiled here instead for release on September 1st.Hey welcome to the boards! i was under the impression September 1 was the date for both Canada and the US???

There is a dealer in Carlsbad California who is having a preview with cars on August 12th. He has told me that I could go over the following weekend and see it, since I can't go during the week. I could even do a test drive, he said.
Here are a couple his tweets..

It's weird that the car you were in did not have a telescoping steering wheel. I have heard a couple of reviewers say that too.3 arrived at the dealer near my place. Got to look closely and sit in one last evening. Nice interior but lacks a telescoping steering wheel, no height adjustment for passenger seat, no lumbar support adjustments. Back seat is surprisingly tight but adequate. The car looks low and flat but I guess that is what they wanted. In sum, seems just OK. Toyota reliability, though. VW Golf is a better deal and all round better. VW reliability, though.:serious:
I was in both a CVT and a Manual. Although I don't remember actually trying it in the manual, I did in the CVT.Would there be differences between manual and automatic and could the telescoping steering wheel be one of them?
It's amazing how little salesmen know about the cars they sell.Actually the sales guy told me it did not telescope, I did not actually then try to see if it did!
Looks like from other threads that you have gotten your test drive in bicepeak, I am also in the Phoenix area and was able to walk in to Bell Road Scion and be the first to test drive one of the iM's they had on their lot. That is correct. Some salesman are a little hard to bear.Hello S-Factor!!!

I will add that I was not impressed (and by not impressed I mean disgusted) with all interaction from two salesman at Bell Scion, however the car itself was everything I have been building it up to be while in pre-launch mode.![]()
