Greetings from So Cal

Hey all,

I just picked up my new Blizzard White, actually I stole it.

It was the only iM on the lot, I was about to leave when I spied it parked in the customer section, it said Pasadena Toyota but I was not in Pasadena. I asked the salesman what the story on the iM was and they told me someone had ordered it with those particular options (Rear Wind Deflector, Preferred Owners Portfolio, which I think only means door sill protectors, All Weather Floor Mat and Cargo Tray). But since the person requesting the car had not put any deposit down they would sell it to me, but only if I purchased it on the spot, of course I told him don't pressure me and I'll be dammed they would knock off anything from the price, they claim that Toyota is not importing very many. To my surprise I qualified for 0% (703 Experian) so how could I say no? I drove off at 12:15 AM with my new Toy.

The following day I returned to the dealer to finish up some unattended business, I bumped into my salesman, he said the couple who had ordered the car showed up after they had been called and told their car had arrived only to find it was sold, the salesman said they were pissed!

So I like the car, now I'm finding out how few aftermarket accessories are available. Hopefully Toyota keeps the iM going so that we can have more options. Thanks to this site I just ordered some MIT vent visors (would have preferred Weathertech), now I need a sun shade, can't find a good fit yet and only Android Radios are available from overseas vendors??? Anywaaaaays... Talk to ya'll later. Happy motoring!

Right??? Especially if the dealer called you and said, "c'mon down your car has arrived". Car salespeople can be pretty scummy. I hope the potential customers rip the dealer a new one on yelp. This same dealer 12 years ago sold me my 1st new car, '06 Tacoma, said if I brought in the customer service survey not filled out they'd give me a free mug or T-shirt. No shame! Haha.
