I was thinking the exact same thing.Now only if I had this on some of my older cars then maybe there wouldn't be nearly as many scratches around that area!
Another good thing to do is apply clear vinyl around that area and replace it every so often depending on how bad the scratches get.

By the time I get off work at midnight it is done.Even with the glowing surround I'd still be poking around to insert the key. Those scratches are just an inevitable part of me owning a car.
Glowing for a few hours a day should be enough unless you live in Canada. It's always dark in the winter.
Nice ideaim going to fix mine with a blue glow pen or fabric glow paint from ebay!
