So I was looking for a new car at the Orange County Auto Show last month (Oct 2015) and wanted something that was reliable, looked sporty, got good mileage, didn't cost an arm & a leg, and would be able to fit my road bike inside without having to remove the front wheel. Since I wanted a brand with proven reliability, because I plan to keep the car for 15+ years, I was focused on Toyota, Honda, and Subaru.

I looked at and test drove the Honda Fit, which rode a bit rough and didn't look sporty (of course), but had great utility. Next up was the Honda HRV. It had a nice ride and tons of room to fit my bike, but, I couldn't get excited about its looks. I looked at the Subaru XV Crosstrek and liked what it had to offer, but it was a little more expensive and I wasn't sure I wanted an outdoorsy looking car. By chance, because of the location of the restrooms, I saw this cool looking hatchback in the Scion area - the iM. There it was, a car that met all of my criteria and I almost didn't see it.

So, I did my due diligence and read all the online info I could to see what the iM was all about. Reading posts from guys on the iM forum definitely helped me get excited about the mods that could be done. I went to the dealership to test drive one and afterwards knew this was the car for me and bought it on the spot.

I am very happy with the purchase of my Scion iM. I have wondered what I would be driving today if I hadn't had to take a leak at the autoshow!!

Sure looks like the iM came at the right time for you, it's just too bad that Honda has nothing like it aside from the HR-V... which from what i've heard can get boring really quickly, but i bet that won't be a problem for the majority of its buyers.. just the enthusiasts.
