The commercials did manage to get a laugh out of me so that's a plus and they made sure to emphasize on the fact that a lot of the features come standard.


I personally like the wacky inflatable tube man commercial the most.

It's great that they're embracing their weirdness and more so now because of their unique pricing structure.
Scion says that two more commercials will be rolled out in the coming months. Not sure how they'll beat the flailing tube man with a cup of coffee.

The only problem I have with these ads are that the iA and the iM are not weird cars. They are rather mainstream styled cars for the current segment. Otherwise they are good ads.

But maybe I'm thinking about this wrong.

You have to imagine that after doing market research that they figured the demographic of buyers would dig this sort of material. I'm sure there will be ads that appeal to you directly and those like you.

I didn't take from the commercials that the cars were weird because the line just before that in each commercial is talking about all the standard features. That is the connection I made watching them......which is Scion's best selling point.
