It sounds mild in that video, which is good. I don't want to annoy my neighbors and/or get tired of non-stop rumble myself. There are a couple videos of the exhaust on YouTube but I can't post links on here yet

Smog should be fine. The catalytic converter is up front right after the headers. The resonator even stays. This exhaust starts from the center of the car after the scubba tank (resonator). It sounds mild in that video, which is good. What about emissions testing? Isn't our catalytic converter hidden inside the muffler?
How is the sound inside the car? Any drone on the highway?I have this installed. Yes its a DNA motoring exhaust. They call it a catback system but it allows the resonator (scubba tabk) to stay on the car still. This is basically a 2 muffler delete and 2.25in larger piping upgrade. The sound is very mild and sounds similar to a stick 350z/G35 exhaust which I love. The video on yotube actually sounds louder because the recorder is right next to the exhaust. I did feel a slight upgrade to power since the car went from slow to a little bit faster than slow lol. I installed this by putting my passenger side on jacks and squeezed under neath. Because of my lack of space it took longer than it should (1.5 hrs).

Did you take a picture of the new exhaust next to the old one? I always like seeing the difference.I have this installed. Yes its a DNA motoring exhaust. Sorry nub question because I couldn't tell from the pic. But did you leave the resonator on to achieve the 350z/G35 sound? or off?I have this installed. Yes its a DNA motoring exhaust. I installed the catback system without messing with anything else in the exhaust system. This entails leaving the scuba tank/resonator on.Sorry nub question because I couldn't tell from the pic. Just got this today for mine. Planning on trying to install tomorrow. Is there anything that will pose a headache that I need to be prepared for? Or is it all pretty straightforward?I installed the catback system without messing with anything else in the exhaust system. This entails leaving the scuba tank/resonator on.
It was straightforward. Oh make sure you don't mix up the gaskets I made a noob mistake and couldn't get the smaller gasket on the bigger flange and had to undo the bolts and take it apart again. Also make sure you lift the car high enough. I have the cheap $20 autozone jack and couldn't get the car high enough on the jack stands so I had a tight squeeze and took 1.5 hours lol. Its a nice sound but its not loud enough for someone who likes loud.Just got this today for mine. Planning on trying to install tomorrow. Can’t wait to have a little sound from it lol
perf. thanks for the quick response! Can't wait to get this install.I installed the catback system without messing with anything else in the exhaust system. This entails leaving the scuba tank/resonator on.
Well it’s on there. You were certainly right about not having much room. I’m going to have to invest in more jack stands because the ground clearance was terrible. It was straightforward. So does the tailpipe extend more then stock? It seems like the OEM tailpipe is tucked way in and should extend a few more inches to be even with the bumper.Well it’s on there. After installing when driving I was noticing I seemed to hear a rattle when I was coming to a complete dead stop and occasionally when taking off. I was hoping it was just the new exhaust needing to be broke in but knowing my luck it needs to be adjusted so I’ll probably have to get back under there.
I don’t suppose you had this affect from your iM did you? I tried to see if I could duplicate it while driving around later on this evening but I couldn’t really get it to do it anymore.
*** Update ***
I work a rotating schedule and today I was working second shift. By the time I got off work it was upper 40° to low 50° and the car was cold. When I first cranked the car and it idled down, I heard the rattling louder than ever. It sounds like it’s coming midway up the exhaust pipe probably close to that heat shield so that’s most likely the culprit.
I believe it was just the heat shield because I bent it a little and (knock on wood) haven’t heard it since. So does the tailpipe extend more then stock? It seems like the OEM tailpipe is tucked way in and should extend a few more inches to be even with the bumper.
Did you ever find the cause of the rattle?
