It looks horrible and is too bright.

post 46 of this thread!
maybe this help,if not go to trparts4u buy a $63 oem switch witch comes with incadecent mini bulbs and change those bulbs for leds either way you have mod them theres no escape.
i did mine replacing the leds but later decided to use a clear led on place of the blue and then sanded the led a bit more and colored the surface with a light blue sharpie, thats the most you can do to macth the oem color.
For the brightnes of the leds you can paint the front face of the led in black and just leave the sides to iluminate.
If you want to dimm more the leds you can add a pice of white electrical tape on the inside logo face of the switch.

Not a science but if you dont have the tools or skills take the switch to a shop to do the job!
i can help you i have the leds, only problem is im in Puerto Rico youll need to pay shipping and email me the return label for the return.

Those fog lights looks really good on the iM and help complete the car. I can't believe that Toyota doesn't have OEM fog-lights as standard equipment on the North-American iM (or a dealer-installed OEM option), especially considering those gaping cutouts on the front bumper. Heck, even my lovable little 2015 Yaris SE has them standard. Shame how Toyota seems to be disinterested in the U.S. market when it comes to subcompact/compact car options versus what's available in other countries/markets.

I'm considering picking up an iM in the near future, since I need a 2nd car that sports an automatic transmission instead of manual. It's either that or pick up another Yaris SE with automatic instead of 5-speed manual this time. I really love my current 2015 5-spd manual Yaris SE (w/added TRD rear sway bar), and think that I would really like the iM as well - though I am waiting to see what the first iM refresh might look like, in the hopes of them changing the front bumper and upside-down looking headlight design.

Installed mine last week plus new horns

I was lucky to find some cheap horns made by Wolo @ O'reileys. I posted a video on youtube about both my fog light and horns. Let me know if you have any questions

For the iM too?

Hey B91SUPRA, if you did't pick up the fogs yet, I would suggest looking at this: www[dot}ebay[dot]com/itm/2015-2016-TOYOTA-COROLLA-OEM-LED-FOG-LIGHTS-KIT-00016-12019-/131620300101: 2015 2016 Toyota Corolla LED Fog Lights Kit 00016 12019 | eBay

This comes with everything that you need except for the frames. My friend installed it on his corolla. Looks very good.
Hi, will this kit work on the Scion '16/Corolla '17 iM? Not sure if there are already "cut-outs" behind the stock covers, for them like a sedan Corolla does. Thanks!

Help!

Got everything installed but can't get the wiring to work with headlights on (only works with DRL/parking LEDs) using the 2014+ OEM LED kit. Now sitting unconnected after a bunch of splicing/connect roulette! :crying:

Would appreciate help on getting the wiring of this kit to work with 2017 corolla iM, now that everything is installed. Thank you in advance!

Hi all,

I got a slightly different kit where the power wire isn't apart of the assembly that connects to the fog lights. Instead there is a short white wire (power), a black (ground) and a yellow wire that are attached to the relay. These I believe go in the cabin as they connect to the wire that feeds through the firewall. My question is, I don't know where to attach the power line. I've read the auer automotive tutorial which says to tap the 34 pin and attach it to the switch (which I assumed was the yellow wire). When I do connect the yellow wire to pin 34 it allows me to turn on and off the headlights, but I haven't a clue where to connect the power wire to in the cabin or how to keep the headlights on while enabling the foglight switch.

This is essentially the assembly I have:

Any help would be appreciated.

Usually there will be two power connections. One somewhat heavier that goes to the battery then through the relay to the lights. The second will be smaller and goes to the switch for the LEDs in it and to be used to trigger the relay. Attached is the sheet from my kit, which kind of shows that.

I'm probably going to rewire mine like they talk about in this post. http://www.scionimforum.com/forum/electronics-audio-lighting/4673-diy-fog-lights-6.html#53

Thanks for the reply. I thought similarly, but I don't see the one that is supposed to go to the battery unless I route the wire from the cabin back towards the battery...
