Our graco snugride classic connect 30 only fits in the middle. I'm 5'5" and have the drivers seat at maximum height. At my comfortable legroom position with a more vertical recline, I have OK legroom and the car seat just kisses my back cushion. Passenger seat is more forward to make loading the car seat easier. The low roof line is also annoying depending on curb height

Britax Car Seat

Getting car seats into a Scion IM was my first test before purchasing the car. We have a 7.5 year old son and a 3.5 year old daughter. The seats we had were becoming inadequate so we went with Britax Parkway SGL and the Marathon. I'm 5'6 so I position my son behind me and my daughter on the passenger side since the daughter seat is a bit burky. I personally don't think having a regular seat booster is safe because it doesn't allow the child legs to hang over the seat properly. Using the previous seat booster, my son legs were pointing at my chair almost at a 45 degree angle. This gave him virtually no leg room even when my chair was moved forward to an uncomfortable position. My daughter's car seat has no issue since nobody is in the front passenger seat most of the time so I can leave the front seat a bit forward. Wife is only 5'3 so she doesn't need the chair that far back when she's occupying it. I will provide some pics with the kids in the seats as well as what I did to keep my son legs in a safe position.

My 3yo twins fit just fine in full size front facing car seats. The seats go in and come out fine. All the latch anchors are easy to get to. Much quicker than putting them in our Durango because the bottom latch anchors are buried deep. The back one is near the floor and the seat doesn't move a lot with a car seat on it. I haven't had any problem with space in the iM. My 9yo even fits fine between the car seats. I'm 5'9" and I ride with the driver seat pushed about halfway back but leaned way back. My car is set up for fun/aggressive driving but I have zero problems hauling my kids around when the need arises. The Durango is the primary kid hauler, though. Leather seats are a must under toddlers.

To compare, when my twins were born we had only a 2007 Hyundai Accent 2 door hatch. We struggled a little getting them in there, but once in, there was still just enough room for the newborn and rear facing seats and a 5yo. The iM rear seat has nearly twice the space and two extra doors. I don't think you'll have a problem.

I love how they gave my Durango all "A's" when it really is a struggle to get the car seats tied down. It's hard enough that my wife gives up and tries to just use the seatbelt slots. And that's a no-no in my book.
