Roof rack info

I got it from etrailer.com for a 2015 Corolla. Its a SportRack. The fitment isnt 100% perfect but it fits well enough to actually use and is stable enough that im happy with it. And its only $160 right now so a good $40 off.

heres the link to it:

SportRack Semi-Custom Roof Rack for Naked Roofs - Square Crossbars - Steel - 50" Long SportRack Roof Rack SR1010

if you dont wanna try for a corolla one and are cool with spending a little more that website does have ones specifically for the iM....just hit the search bar up for the iM.

Wow thanks for posting that, think i've seen a few people around here or somewhere ask about those bars. What are you planning to keep up their; bike rack? box?

I'm wondering what he means by 'fitment isn't perfect'. Sportsrack being a Thule brand, they should be using the same sort of basic logic for fitment that Thule uses.

In the case of Thule, the adapter kit is interchangeable.

I mean, even just judging from the appearance, the anchors look exactly like mine (not the bars, the adapter). I don't know if he's just unhappy about the fact that they aren't sitting flush or whatever but that's "as is"; it's designed this way.

You technically can do two bikes and a light box; and light has to extend to the cargo; the overall capacity of the rack is 110 pounds. Thule Europe launched a new rack last month that's lighter and they have boxes that are up to 10 pounds lighter than what you'll find here. Might just be worth it for a lot of you to import some gear.

Fitment

I mean its not exactly flush and they hang over a bit by the drip molding, but they're on nice enough to actually use and don't slip too too much. I plan on throwing a box on it. I'm in the army and it'll help when I go to my training stuff to just throw my gear on top and strap it down. **** maybe a Christmas tree in the winter lol idk...I just ordered my wind fairing for the front of it and it should be in tomorrow afternoon. Ill post more on here.

Overall good rack though, thumbs up

That's quite slick and should come in especially handy to those going on long trips since they would load it up to that capacity you stated. Winter is another one too for those that go Skiing with a few friends.

Although i'm quite set on getting a roof rack setup, I always liked trailer hitches. Only downside is you have to be much more mindful of how you park and where you park. Seen way too many close calls.
