I am spoiled,I bought a new Honda Civic in 1990,and it had zero defects. I never brought it back to the dealers for any warranty work. Then I bought a new 2001 Subaru Forester. Same story,no defects,no warranty work.What about the iM,you guys have any reason to bring it back to the dealers to have something corrected? Thanks.

Nope. Haven't seen the dealer since we bought the car back in September.

Just hit 3,000 miles. I did an oil change on my own at 500 miles (break in) but don't have any reason to be back at the dealer until I hit 10k miles for that first free oil change.

Hard to tell because it's still early so you'll have to break it in first and see if anything happens later.

I'm not sure if it's a defect yet, but I've been experiencing what appears to be a rattling seat belt mechanism on the front passenger side when I hit a bump.

The driver's side doesn't have any issues. Also, there seems to be a rattle coming from the cargo area (cheap plastic tire cover).

First service at 10k? My dealer put a 5k service sticker on my car and with Scion Boost it'll be free (I think).

Your first service visit is 5K. The oil will not be changed but they will rotate your tires and check fluids. Then at the next visit, the oil will be changed. Almost every Toyota is like this.

Defects

We just took our delivery of our IM yesterday (My B.D.) and we have a small chip in the paint on the hood. Other than that all else is fine.

I am having the same rattling sound on the front passenger also. The cargo area on mine seems fine for now at least.

That sounds annoying. Wonder if there is some way to fix it with just a MacGuiver-like fix.
