The front logo badge from a 2013+ Toyota Auris is too big. Found out the hard way, and figured I'd pass along the info...

Definitely need Toyota badges from a 2015+ Australian Corolla Levin SX or ZR if you want to do a badge swap.

Better make sure they fit first. I ordered the Auris front Toyota badge from Japan... $35... doesn't fit. To get a refund I have to ship it back.... $29

I now have a Toyota badge on my desk at work.

Got a buddy who put something like this on his fr-s:

I bet you could prolly fit the whole word "Auris" in the badge. Look up Pete Thompson on FB.

Never really understood why people change the badges like this. I get removing the badges, but why change them to something else? At least its not being replaced by Ferrari badges or something.

Some people just like the look from other markets better. It also shows you know more about the car than the average Joe who thinks the iM is a completely new design and that you're an enthusiast. Think of all the people who converted their Integras to the JDM front end or the SilEightys from s13s. Just a preference of looks, only badges are a lot cheaper than conversions :p

Considering the front end is completely different on the 2015, I'm not sure what exactly it is that you were expecting here.
The headlights are the same, bumper cover and grill are similar. The Toyota badge was two big by about 2mm... very close. I was not expecting that I wouldn't get any douchebag remarks from douchebags, but ... it's the internet... it happens.

I looked for a Unicorn vomiting rainbows, but alas settled for a Toyota logo... you know, the manufacturer of the car.

Personally, it's a cheap inexpensive way to distance myself from others. It's the same reason people put Holden badges on Chevy SS's, Honda badges on Acuras, and so on... it's different.

A Pontiac Saturn Chevy GM is all the same thing just like a Ford Lincoln Mercury... No need to church it up Joe Deer-tay

Thanks Nick for taking the plunge. There are a few folks on this form taking some chances and using their own money to find things out about this car and I for one appreciate it.

That being said, the scion badges are growing on me.

Removing the badges makes sense but changing them doesn't? I think it's just a similar matter of personal choice. I'm not a fan of de-badged cars, but it's easy to understand why people do it; aesthetic choice.

I'd like to switch to the Auris badges. Personally, if I had the option of a Toyota Auris or Scion iM badging when buying the car, I'd rather have the Auris. Since Moving back to Canada from Japan, a lot of the new models feel like they're lying about their names, lol. Prius C is still an Aquas to me, among many other models :p

The headlights are the same
Except they're not. The shape's changed. You really aren't doing too good on the documenting end of things aren't you? Toyota refreshes focus on the plastics & wheels for the exterior. So for instance, while the fender line for the headlamps didn't change, the rest did to accommodate for the new design. Changing molds is cheaper than changing stamping.

I mean **** bro, you're even confusing douchebaggery for just being a smartass.

I'm not your "bro". Aside from being on this forum to just generally troll my posts and acting like a
c-u-n-t ... is there something you're attempting to provoke me to do? I'd gladly just slap the spit out of your mouth on general purpose, but your in another country and thousands of miles away. So troll on if you like, but it's annoying.

You missed the part where I was making fun of your tough guy attitude and was purposely calling you something else than your name with zero historical referencing, but okay.

****, now after looking at the difference in headlights, maybe down the road if the mod bug catches up to me and the necessary front end bits of the Auris are cheap enough... i might do an Auris swap. JDM for the win :D

Isn't the shape of the headlights different? Will you need to cut into the iM to make it fit?
