MiScion Racing compound tires would go a lot quicker as well, softer compound.

The stock Toyotires that came with the car. I rec you get racing compound tires if you want to autocross frequently. My tires wore out quickly after 6 runs.

Definitely ! Good tires is the starting point to doing anything. Whether you want a straight up drag car, or you want a track beast, you need darn good tires to begin with.
