The Most Cost-Effective, SECRET Compatible Clutch Kit

I had my clutch replaced early - I really struggled with the OEM clutch, horrible feel and bite point, plus learning to shift properly. I was stranded in San Diego and went to a reputable transmission shop suggested by family. The labor was expensive due to the situation, but the owner found me an inexpensive, yet high-quality OE replacement kit. The clutch felt better than the OEM, but when I get it replaced next, I will still use the same part and ask the shop to lower the bite.

I had him give me my old clutch in the box which held the new clutch. I took a picture of the box before discarding it. This is the Amazon link; it's about half the price of the Aisin kit. It's by Exedy, a reputable brand. EDIT: I can't post the link due to lack of post history. Search amazon for this: EXEDY TYK1522

The part info at the Exedy website says it fits the 2011-15 Corolla. However, this is without a doubt the kit that is installed in my 2016 iM. So it is secretly compatible, which doesn't surprise me, as the base of the '16 iM/Auris (E180) was the '15 Corolla (E170) Toyota B architecture. The iM only moved to the new architecture TNGA-C in 2018.
