Oh, a yellow top Optima battery. Anyone that plan on getting a bigger and better battery might want to stay away from Optima, they have been going downhill on those yellow tops. It's even worse that some of those yellow tops have to be special orders.

If it's something you can buy at the local wal-mart, then go ahead.

Thanks for the Optima battery warning.

Ok I contacted Monkey wrench racing about any compatible performance parts but the only answer I got was in pic still gives us affected by the mod bug hope ;D.

Sorry if this has been posted but I Lurked on ToyodaNation and they have heard of a Lotus Elise S with a 2zrfe and a Magnuson supercharger on it & have had a member there confirm with lotus that it would fit with extra parts to make it compatible & I'm contacting to see if it would also be compatible with our 2zrfae. So hungry for boost lols

The parts will fit but the ECU is not a match. Lotus has only used the 1zr-fae in any of their cars and it hasn't been boosted so they don't even have a tune for that. Plus they try to be all secretive about using Toyota parts because the rich guys won't pay the big bucks for a Toyota. You have to be like that guy on Toyota Nation and know someone that will even talk about it.

Anything on MWR/TK.com for the 2zr-fe will fit our engine but you're going to need to be able build an ECU to Piggyback harness from scratch or get Boomslang to do it for $600+. I've already talked to them about it. Turbo is the easy part. Tuning is the expensive part. That harness will be the single most expensive part of a bolt-on kit unless you want to cut up your OEM harness.

But with 10.6:1 compression I'm not bothering with it until I have the money for forged internals first. You're looking at $10k easy to build a reliable FI engine for this car. If you do most of it yourself. But if you're going to skip the internals I would just get the basic $1200 kit form TKC and start there because the piping for the intercooler will be different and you really want to use a Greddy e-Manage Ultimate instead of the AEM FIC that comes in the full kit. It handles VVTi better and can give you limited control over the Valvematic system.

Thanks for your input I & I know others greatly appreciate it!

I am currently still looking for the ease of a supercharger BUT will look into doing the turbo route if nothing seems to come to play anytime soon.. Good looking out

Still lurking from time to time & found Rotrex supercharger kits.. I've read a few 86s have them beside the vortex kits.. I've just msged them out of curiosity if there is one available/Compatible for our vehicles or one in development/Can be fabricated and pricing. On youtube there is a 09 Rolla with one but the person who has modified it has not really given much info on the build..

All I know was it had ran rich before it had it's standalone.

Found this in the comments from the owner

This is a european corolla 1.6 1ZR-FE engine with 126 hp ( same as auris) I made my own bracket for the compressor. mounted between alternator and aircondition pump

Used rav4 2.4L injector
1 grade colder spark plug
Rotrex c16-60 with the biggest pulley (+50 hp)
AEM FIC piggyback for ecu control
Weapon R header 2.5 inch exhaust from cat
Engine components are 100%

stock final results - 126 to 180 hp without intercooler

You can try messaging the guy, if you get a response please do share it here. I might follow the same path once I get an iM.
