I just had my 25,000 mile service and I asked Toyota dealer to change the oil. This time I decided to try MAG 0W-20. I am not impressed. It was super cheap on Amazon - around $20, but I may even get another oil change soon. I ordered Valvoline 0W-20 and an OEM Denso filter.

When I had my 20,000 mile service my dealer used Pennzoil 0W-20 oil and it was really good. I don't know if it was Platinum or not, they buy them in barrels. Pennzoil Ultra Platinum jug is no longer sold on Amazon, which is sad.

Walmart has excellent oil prices. Valvoline and Mobil 0W-20 Full Synthetic jugs are around $19-$24.

I just had another oil change: Valvoline 0W-20 full synthetic with Denso 150-3024 Oil Filter, both purchased on Amazon. My car feels excellent! Acceleration is back to normal, fuel economy is back to normal, engine feels smooth and refined again. Stay away from MAG 0W-20 oil.

I always do this too. I change it at 1000 miles, then again at 5k miles. After that I do every 5k miles. On some of my cars I have gone to 7500 mile or 12 month OCI.

I've never heard of this oil. Pretty expensive compare to Mobil 1. I've used Mobil 1 since 1982 and it has always delivered great performance.

I've been buying my Mobil 1 5 quart jugs at Walmart in Oregon for $22.88 and no sales tax. My buddy works at Toyota parts and sometimes I can get a great deal on Toyota synthetic which is Mobil 1 but a slightly different additive package.

Since I am done with dealership oil changes that came with the car, I will be trying different oil brands. Mobil 1 will most likely be my next pick.

LiquiMoly is a very famous oil brand in Europe, especially in Germany, since they are a German company. I agree that they charge too much, but so far it was the best oil I had used in my iM. Motul is a French company also barely known in the US, but they make really good oil. I haven't tried them yet.

I bought Edge Bio-Synthetic for my recent oil change. I like it so far. I haven't tried original Castrol Edge yet, so I have no idea how it compares considering price difference is almost double. My next one will be IDEMITSU Zepro Eco Medalist, Japanese company still fairly new on the U.S. market.

I just had my oil change. I bought Idemitsu ZEPRO 0W-20 oil. It is much better than Castrol Bio-Edge. I definitely noticed better fuel economy and better acceleration. Amazon sells it for around $30 right now with 25% off coupon.

I've never even heard of that oil. I was able to buy a bunch of the Toyota synthetic 0w-20 for $5/qt. I've read that people notice a big difference when trying different brands of oil which seems strange to me. I would guess that only testing the oil after running it for a while could really show how it did.

Idemitsu is Japanese, it sounds like they are a well known company in Japan. I bet you never heard about my next pick: Ravenol 0W-20. It is German, price is around $60 on Amazon. They are supposed to be "premium" oil, so I am wondering how much difference is it going to make.

I just ordered a jug to try this. Seems like a lot of people love it. Found it for $35.
