They should have put matching purple calipers with the purple wrap. Would have looked great.

Might have been hard trying to find a purple that can work on an area that gets a lot of heat like a brake caliper.

But even if they just went with better looking wheels that would be enough for me.

I never really thought of how a different color may not be able to handle the heat in certain circumstances. Is that true? Some colors just can't be put on calipers?

Colors and heat properties do not correlate. Your main factors are type of paint used and how the surface was prepped.

Good point that is indeed something to look into. Haven't seen many car makers disclose the paint process. Typically i've seen it mentioned from detailers that have that industry knowledge.
